Main purpose of the position

Currently we are looking for a Junior Systems Analyst -Supply Chain in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Junior System Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining the systems and related processes used in Supply Chain and provide user support within the department. These systems include but are not limited to: D365 VMS-related functions, DeepStream (RFx platform), counterparty onboarding system, in-house Supply Chain procurement package planning solution and dashboard reports. To support best practices in business systems and data management to contribute towards realising the full potential of digitalisation projects the Supply Chain Management function.


Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Supply Chain Data Analyst with use case projects relating to the Supply Chain Digitalisation Roadmap
  • Provide systems/applications (Excel/DeepStream/VMS) support for end users when required and applicable
  • Provide support in the configuration and maintenance of templates in DeepStream
  • Identifying potential improvements in current systems/applications by utilising a business systems analysis approach
  • Assist with assessment and reviews of data and records for Supply Chain to ensure stability and improve data quality
  • Assist with accurate requirements elicitation, documentation, and analysis for supply chain systems/applications to ensure solutions meet correct specification
  • Assist in UAT (user acceptance testing) and training during implementations
  • Engage with stakeholders to capture and document system/application requirements, ensuring alignment with other departments/Business Units.
  • Maintain of datasets used for Power BI reports in Supply Chain
  • Perform basic data cleaning/transformation to assist with more centralised, usable data for Supply Chain system analytics
  • Support the creation, maintenance and UAT (user acceptance testing) of miscellaneous solutions/tools for the automation of manual tasks according to gathered requirements
  • Actively partake in Scatec’s Digital Transformation initiatives acting as a change agent and digital ambassador for Supply Chain Management
  • Provide support stakeholders impacted by the change induced by the projects

Qualifications And Competencies

  • Education: University degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business or Data Management
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Supply Chain Systems or similar environment
  • Previous experience in the Renewable Energy sector within Supply Chain will be advantageous
  • Previous experience on Digitalisation and/or Systems/Data focused Projects will be advantageous
  • Demonstrate good coordination skills, ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to foster cooperative & positive working environment during periods of change
  • Must be proficient in Power BI
