Financial Systems Developer

Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Financial Systems Developer in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. 

Main responsibilities 

• Continuously enhance and develop the ERP financial modules to meet changing business needs and support organizational growth.
• Work closely with finance departments to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop, test, and deploy new features or modules in the financial systems
• Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary optimizations.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation for financial systems is created and maintained, including descriptions of infrastructure, technical manuals, and process- and data flows.
• Collaborate with other developers and analysts to integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless operation and data consistency across systems.
• Stay updated on new ERP features and industry best practices to recommend system improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and data-related issues ensuring high availability and performance. Escalate and cooperate with Microsoft/system supplier as needed for complex issues.

Qualifications and competencies 

• University or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or Engineering
• 5y+ experience with development of D365FO or similar ERP-systems, as developer, process owner or Technical consultant.
• Experience with Power Platform such as PowerApps, Power Portal, Power Automate, Power Automate RPA and other Azure services.
• Experience with programming skills, e.g. in languages and platforms used in financial systems (e.g., Java, Python, SQL, VBA, .NET, X++) and API-management
• Experience in designing, developing or managing larger datasets/cubes/warehouse/data lake and data modelling
• Familiarity with system security and data protection principles.
• Basic knowledge of financial products, transactions, and market mechanisms.
• Experience of working across national borders for an international company, and handling complex transactions and agreements
