Main Purpose of the Position:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will support the senior engineering team by managing or leading allocated tasks and design activities to deliver technically compliant projects. You will assist in ensuring that all technical and contractual requirements are considered and implemented, contributing to the successful completion of projects. Additionally, you will support the development and operations of projects by managing or leading technical assessments, investigations, due diligence studies, and design activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Operating System
- Follow the guidelines and prescribed structures outlined by the operating system.
- Provide continuous input toward the improvement and optimization of the operating system.
Support to Project / Business Development
- Conduct preliminary yield assessments accurately and in a timely manner, based on the information provided.
- Support the evaluation of the technical business case and provide input on the plausibility of the project.
Support to Structuring Phase of Projects
- Support in the development and establishment of the technical base case and specifications of the project.
- Review and evaluate technical documentation and contracts (PPA, Grid Code, Connection Agreement, etc.).
- Support Supply Chain Management in compiling and evaluating RFP documents and supplier responses.
- Conduct detailed due diligence and investigations to conclude on technology selections.
- Complete detailed yield assessments accurately and in a timely manner, based on the information available.
- Support in tasks assigned to manage, coordinate, and compile the complete system design package.
- Assist in drafting technical schedules for various contracts (PPA, (S)-EPC, O&M, etc.).
- Support the Execution Team with planning and aligning technical aspects of the project.
- Support in the management, coordination, and review of the detailed engineering design package/process.
- Ensure that all relevant design information identified throughout the structuring phase is implemented in the detailed designs issued for construction.
- Support in stakeholder engagements (utility, LTA, suppliers, contractors, etc.) to establish requirements and resolve matters critical to reaching Financial Close.
Support to Projects in Delivery/Execution
- Ensure that detailed engineering is implemented from the design stage.
- Review design change requests or proposals in the event of deviations.
- Assist in establishing and evaluating quality expectations and documentation during construction.
- Conduct site visits to monitor and ensure that design expectations are implemented.
- Support and drive testing and commissioning activities toward the Commercial Operation Date.
- Support in the project close-out phase toward TTO.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of electrical/electro-mechanical engineering experience, including the following:
- 1+ years of renewable energy experience.
- 1+ years of project environment experience.
- 1+ years of distribution and reticulation design experience.
- Experience in PVSyst modeling.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience with weather data sets (MN7, SolarGIS).
- Exposure to High Voltage Networks and Sub-Stations.
- Experience in Utility-Scale PV Project design and execution.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a benefit.

- Ability to apply sound engineering design principles and best practices to renewable energy facilities, particularly related to PV and BESS technologies.
- Ability to apply understanding of contract structures and interfaces to develop technical schedules.
- Experience in analyzing and simulating multi-technology systems to forecast energy production.
- Clear communication and business understanding when coordinating with different stakeholders.
