Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Learning & Development Manager in Cairo , Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our L&D Manager you will lead and support our company Learning & Development initiatives in Egypt, contributing to and influencing our global L&D strategy while adapting it to the specific needs of the Egypt region. This role will focus on leadership development, capability building, strategic workforce planning, and onboarding for our local and regional teams, including senior leaders.  
 
The ideal candidate will bring international experience, the ability to work independently, and strong capabilities in aligning global initiatives with local needs, ensuring cultural and operational alignment with our strategic objectives. 

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Manage global learning programs on central L&D plan and budget; leadership, DEIB, onboarding. 
  • Further develop, manage and coordinate our L&D tools. Program and portfolio, including supporting the performance development process. 
  • Deliver and evaluate learning initiatives across 70:20:10 model to develop people, teams and org on common competencies 
  • Find, use, create and present relevant L&D data and statistics that can drive the L&D strategy and inform company decision making. 
  • Develop, implement and facilitate Scatec learning portfolio and toolbox 
  • Secure targeted introduction and onboarding of new employees 
  • Initiate digitalization of L&D processes and actively seek new technology opportunity to improve, and secure blended learning offerings.  
  • Train, coach and support regional and local HR within area of expertise 
  • Take lead in various P&O development project. 
  • Analyse and manage the end to end learning and development cycle for authorised interventions. Including Skills Gap Analysis. 
  • Source relevant solutions or recommendations (costs, quality, partnerships, learning solutions etc.). Utilising the 70, 30, 10 approach for any learning needs identified with individuals. 

 

Qualifications and competencies 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in L&D, Coaching, or related areas are a plus.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • You are used to changing environments and to quickly meet new challenges
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in L&D, with a strong preference for candidates from international, matrixed organizations. Proven experience working with senior management and leadership development programs.

  • Ability to travel locally as required for program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in L&D tools and platforms. Strong understanding of data analysis and assessment methodologies to evaluate learning outcomes. 
  • Communication and Cultural Adaptability: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver impactful presentations. Sensitivity to cultural nuances and an ability to customize L&D approaches to meet local needs. 
  • Independence and Collaboration: Ability to work autonomously, managing multiple projects and priorities, while also effectively contributing to and influencing global L&D initiatives.
