Main purpose of position:
Currently, we are looking for an IFRS Specialist in São Paulo - Brazil to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our IFRS Specialist, you will ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), providing technical accounting guidance and support to our finance teams across different regions.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on IFRS compliance and complex matters.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements under IFRS (Portuguese and English).
  • Analyze and interpret new accounting standards and their impact on the company’s financial reporting.
  • Work closely with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
  •  Conduct training and workshops to enhance IFRS knowledge within the company.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to optimize financial reporting processes.

Qualifications and competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IFRS accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience in a multinational environment, preferably in the renewable energy sector or big four.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.
  • Adaptable to changing environments and able to quickly meet new challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems.
