Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Finance & Asset Manager in Bogotá, Colombia to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Finance & Asset Manager you will assist the VP of Finance & Asset Management for Latam to lead and develop the asset management function, including managing part of the current team composed by 5 professionals.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Ultimate responsibility and accountability for Project Company management from Financial close to end of project life.
  • Monitoring of project level profit & loss (P&L) activities to ensure that the power plants are delivering expected financial returns, analysis of P&L variance, CF Forecast and solar plants budget review.
  • Update the Financial Models as and when required by the Financing Agreements; prepare and update necessary periodic financial and cash budgets and carry out the budget-to-actual variance analysis.
  • Contract Management – manage and administer all contracts between the project companies and third parties (EPC, O&M, MSA, IA, Lenders, etc.).
  • Preparation of information for quarterly Board meetings.
  • E&S Management during operations: ensuring that the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for operations is developed and implemented, following up non-conformances, corrective actions, and reporting. Together with CLO, maintain Stakeholder Engagement plan and Grievance mechanism. Development and execution of community development projects.
  • Monitor bank guarantees for energy contracts.
  • Manage third party responsible for CCEE (Cámara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica) reporting.
  • Support on preparation and conducting the Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Indicatives (RFIs) processes for energy suppliers.
  • Elaboration of a proposal summary report with the qualification of the offers for making a purchase decision.

Qualifications and competencies 

  • Graduation in finance, Business, engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in understanding and budgeting cashflows
  • Proficiency in understanding financial modelling and analysis
  • Master Microsoft suite and Business intelligence tools
  • Experience minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in similar position, preferably from an international environment
  • Experience from managing large-scale renewable energy projects
  • Desirable experience with the Brazilian energy trading market
  • Language: Fluent both Spanish and English, written and spoken
