Why this role matters

As Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting and strengthening Scatec’s compliance framework across Egypt. You will help ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal policies while fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical business conduct.

Working closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams, you will identify compliance risks, implement practical mitigation measures, and provide guidance that enables Scatec to operate responsibly and sustainably while supporting business growth and development.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will take ownership of compliance activities and risk management initiatives, including:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and support the implementation of mitigation and corrective action plans

  • Partner with business functions to identify, evaluate, and manage compliance risks across projects and operations

  • Lead and support integrity due diligence processes for third parties, suppliers, and business partners

  • Deliver compliance awareness initiatives, training programs, onboarding sessions, and communication campaigns

  • Support the assessment and management of concerns reported through whistleblowing and grievance mechanisms

  • Monitor compliance activities, perform assurance reviews, and provide independent evaluations of compliance practices

  • Provide regular reporting and legal guidance to management on compliance risks, incidents, and improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience advising on international transactions, compliance matters, and regulatory frameworks

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related legal discipline

  • Experience within the energy, infrastructure, or renewable energy sector is preferred

  • Strong understanding of compliance programs, risk assessments, and governance frameworks

  • Familiarity with public procurement processes and the FIDIC suite of contracts is considered an advantage

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
