Civil Engineer

Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Civil Engineer in Sukkur, Pakistan to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Civil Engineer responsibility is to support the Plant Manager and team in the monitoring, supervision, and quality control of all civil projects and works.

Main responsibilities 

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings, project specifications, and timelines.
• Coordinate and supervise all stages of construction: substructure, superstructure, brickwork, plastering, waterproofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical installations, false ceilings, joinery, flooring, painting, and external works.
• Monitor contractor’s manpower deployment, plant, and equipment to ensure efficient and planned execution.
• Review contractor’s baseline schedule and monitor adherence to milestones and project timelines.
• Implement and monitor the Quality Assurance Plan and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) submitted by the contractor and approved by the employer.
• Conduct joint inspections with the contractor for material deliveries and completed work stages.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive site documentation, including daily inspection reports, site instructions, RFI logs, punch lists, and QA/QC records.
• Participate in internal coordination meetings between the employer and contractor.
• Promote and ensure compliance with the employer’s HSE policies and site safety regulations
• Support the employer’s Environmental & Social (E&S) team in implementing site-level initiatives related to local community engagement. 

Qualifications and competencies 

• Formal educational background
• Solid academic results.
• BS in Civil Engineering, MS would be a plus
• 1- 2 years of relevant experience
• Preferred experience from construction projects
• Preferred international experience.
