Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for an Asset Manager in Amsterdam, The Netherlands to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. Release by Scatec is in a phase of solid growth and is looking to strengthen the Release organization with an Asset Manager. This is a highly visible, challenging, hands-on, dynamic and wide-ranging role covering activities such as business partnering with non-finance teams to add value across multiple business units and projects, driving strategy and profitability across all areas, and supporting the Release Finance and Asset Management (“FAM”) function. The position is a key resource in the Finance team and will report to the Release Head of Asset Management & Business Control.

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Take over commercial ownership and contract management of project lease agreements from Business Development once projects enter construction.
  • Manage customer relationships, including contract performance, commercial negotiations, and escalations.
  • Serve as the main counterpart to Release’s customers during the operations phase, ensuring obligations are met and value is maximized.
  • Oversee project-level financial management, including budgeting, cash flow planning (inflows, outflows, and repatriation), and monitoring of financial guarantees.
  • Manage insurance obligations.
  • Manage rights and obligations under project-related loan and guarantee agreements.
  • Support Business Development with commercial input into project structuring, customer proposals, and term sheet negotiations.
  • Work closely with the O&M / Technical Asset Management team to monitor plant performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with lease terms.

Qualifications and competencies 

  • Master’s degree in finance, business or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years relevant work experience, preferably from an international environment.
  • Experience from Big Four audit companies is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and verbally.
  • Ability to consolidate data from several sources for presentation, being able to efficiently process and evaluate large data volumes and propose actions based on findings.
