Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a HSE Officer in Nagaa Hammadi, Egypt  to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our HSE Officer you will develop, administer and ensure continual improvement of Scatec ASA: Operations & Maintenance Health, Safety, Environmental & social Management Systems to assure ‘industry best practice

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Support Management with HSSEQ 
  • Support Senior Management on HSE Management System standard issues
  • Provide technical support to Senior Management on any health, safety and environmental related subjects
  • Support Senior and Facility Management to set and manage HSSEQ targets and objectives
  • Perform and assist with the HSSEQ obligations 
  • Oversee and control activities in plant whether preventive & corrective maintenance  
  • Support senior management to conduct risk assessments and assist in the development of solutions and implementation of strategies to address identified key risks areas 
  • Compile and distribute HSE Reports to convey information on the HSE monitoring and performance 
  • Conduct Internal HSSEQ Internal Audits 
  • Conduct second/third party (subcontractor) HSE Audits 
  • Support in HSSEQ External Audits 
  • Liaises with authorities and other stakeholders on HSE related issues
  • Develop, implement and ensure upkeep on HSSEQ systems and functions 
  • Develop and administer contractor HSE requirements 
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver HSE training programs to the workforce and management  
  • Oversee all HSE management programs
  • Drive improvement of HSSEQ systems and functions 
  • Develop, administer and continual improvement of HSE management control documentation 
  • Develop and integrate quality management system 
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and best practice methods 
  • Support in Carrying out analysis of accident/incidents statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans 
  • Develop and manage HSE Management System continual improvement strategies 

Qualifications and competencies 

  • 3+ years’ experience on HSE management position 
  • Experience in risk assessment and audit processes (Ideal): Solar Plant experience & H.V Substations 
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written and fluent in Arabic
  • You are used to changing environments and to quickly meet new challenges

Additional information

The candidate must be willing to travel as needed and hold a valid driver’s license.
