Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Document Controller in Cairo, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Document Controller you will be responsible for the management of all project documents and follow up on progress of works. Handling intake, scanning, verification, and storing documents.
Main responsibilities
· Create and manage document profiles in line with SMDLs, assigning and communicating Project Document Numbers (Doc IDs) to contractors.
· Upload, register, review, and ensure compliance of all project document deliverables within the Document Management System (DMS).
· Control and distribute documentation through workflows according to the Project Distribution Matrix, ensuring proper tracking of incoming and outgoing documents.
· Generate and manage transmittals, returning documents to contractors/suppliers with acceptance codes and comments.
· Maintain and control project correspondence, site daily diaries, and the project mailbox in accordance with established guidelines.
· Monitor workflow processes and follow up to ensure timely completion and document status accuracy.
· Manage system templates, user access, and the External Sharing Site to ensure efficient document exchange.
· Provide reporting, training to new project staff on the DMS, and ongoing support as required by the Project Document Controller, demonstrating strong written and spoken English skills.
