Main Purpose of the Position

Join us at the forefront of the global energy transition. We are seeking a Project Controls Manager in Oslo to help drive our mission of Improving our future by delivering world‑class hydrogen and process‑plant projects.

In this key role, you will lead and integrate all project controls disciplines—planning and scheduling, cost and cashflow control, risk and opportunity management, change/claim management, document and information governance, forecasting, and reporting—across the full EPC/EPCM lifecycle: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and handover.

 

You will ensure that project controls routines, systems, and governance support both our Operating System and the contractual and regulatory requirements unique to large‑scale hydrogen and process‑industry developments. By providing clear, decision‑ready insights to the Project Manager/Director and leadership team, you will enable safe, predictable, and high‑performance execution.

 

Working closely with the Project Manager across all project management workstreams, you will help shape a culture of transparency, digital excellence, and continuous improvement—contributing directly to the successful delivery of low‑carbon infrastructure that accelerates the clean‑energy transition.

We are looking for a proactive, structured, and collaborative Project Controls Manager to drive scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting across our large‑scale industrial projects.

What you will do

  • Lead project controls strategy and ensure compliance with execution standards.
  • Develop and manage master schedules, baselines, and progress reporting.
  • Oversee cost control, forecasting, and financial performance insights.
  • Drive risk and change management with clear impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure strong information and document management across the project.
  • Support process‑plant/hydrogen project controls, including engineering deliverables and commissioning readiness.

What you bring

  • Strong project controls experience in complex engineering and Hydrogen/process plant EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Expertise in planning, cost control, and risk/change management.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional coordination and influence stakeholders.
  • Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset.

 Education

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or Industrial/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree and/or formal project controls certifications.

Experience

Minimum

  • 10+ years of project controls experience on large industrial/process‑plant or Oil & Gas projects, including 5+ years in a lead or manager role.
  • Proven delivery from FEED to commissioning on EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Strong background in schedule risk analysis, earned value management (EVM), and complex change/claims management.
  • Excellent proficiency in Primavera (P6), MS Project, and MS Office.
  • Advanced IT skills, including SharePoint and Access Control systems.

Ideal

  • 3+ years experience driving process or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP®, PMI‑SP®, AACE® PSP/CCP, or equivalent.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English (mandatory).
  • Basic Arabic is ideal.
  • Other language skills—Norwegian, Spanish, German, French—are an advantage.
