Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Site Document Controller, in Bacau, Romania to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Site Document Controller, you will provide on-site document control support to ensure site teams have access to current and approved documentation. You will act as the first point of contact for site document inputs and contractor coordination
Project location – Comuna Buciumi, Judetul Bacau
Main responsibilities
- Control SMDL for site documentation, including dates and reporting
- Receive, check, upload, and distribute external documents and drawings; manage site correspondence and project email inputs/outputs
- Act as contractor interface for site document submissions
- Handle contractor kick-off meetings and training
- Ensure compliance with templates, naming conventions, and standards; ensure only current and approved documents are used on site
- Coordinate with main office DC and Document Control Lead
- Support redlines capture and transition to as-built documentation
- Assist with site audits and inspections
- Provide document status updates to site management
- Train site staff on DMS usage and document control procedures
- Supply Chain Management: Follow up and managing the contract document deliverables
- Engineering and Site Responsible: Ensuring all documents on SMDL’s are delivered and sent on Workflow to the correct team members in Engineer-ing and to Site Responsible
- Project Management Reporting status on external documents to ensure Site Management is aware of construction document status
Qualifications and competencies
- Higher education and relevant experience.
- 2+ years Document Control experience, preferably on EPC/Construction projects
- Understanding the life cycle of all documents on a project from start to finish
- Architectural structure of the DMS flow process
- Document mapping between Procedures and Project needs
- Be able to do training on document management system, processes and procedure with all stakeholders
- Understanding of ISO9001 requirements for Document Management
- Language: fluent both written and spoken in English and Romanian language
