Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a O&M Electrical Engineer in Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our O&M Electrical Engineer you will conduct technical investigations and implement solutions to resolve all technical matters related to operations and performance of operational plants
Main responsibilities
- Support during the structuring and execution phase
- Establish and approve technical requirements to be considered in the Project Documents, Functional Requirements, O&M Contract etc.
- Ensure technical considerations in detailed engineering designs are aligned with learnings from operational plants.
- Review designs and requirements relating to O&M.
- Support in project close-out phase towards TTO.
- Involved in the commissioning phase and providing hands-on support to the EPC Team.
- Support to Power production phase
- Investigate plant optimization opportunities.
- Conduct fault-finding studies and investigations into operational issues identified.
- Generate Root Cause analysis reports, develop and implement strategies to improve system reliability and reduce operational costs.
- Support Asset Management on all technical matters.
- Support O&M field services with all related queries, concerns, HSE and emergency situations.
- Ensure plant technical compliance with internal standards, utility compliance, equipment and supplier requirements.
- Conduct site visits to investigate problems or implement systems/solutions to resolve faults or problems.
- Drafting of project scope of works for various technical matters related to investigations or changes on plants.
- Assistance with any technical matters arising from interaction with O&M Project Management services.
Perform regular inspections and work closely with the field service team to ensure that the transformers operate efficiently and safely.
Qualifications and competencies
- Education: University degree in electrical engineering , Master degree is ideal.
- Experience: 5-8 years relevant professional experience, preferably within the Renewables industry. Knowledge on latest advancements in renewable energy space. Proficient in power system analysis tools such as Power factory and basic knowledge of PSCAD.
- Language: Fluent in English, Arabic both written and spoken (French is a plus).
- You are used to changing environments and to quickly meet new challenges

Additional information
The role is based in Egypt office with MENA regional responsibilities, and frequent and extensive travelling to sites.
