Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Supply Chain Cost Analyst, in Bucharest Romania to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.
Scope of the role is to perform construction cost analysis and build comprehensive cost database and to ensure a robust and competitive EPC Business Cases.

Main Responsibilities

Operating System

  • Follow the guidelines and prescribed structures as outlined by the operating system.
  • Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimisation of the operating system.
  • Successfully implement the operating system throughout the development, structuring and execution phase
  • of the Project.
  • Understand how the Supply Chain business unit fits into the wider organization

Tenders

  • Prepare tender documents with the input of engineering, quality, HSE and other relevant departments in
  • accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare cost calculations and detailed estimations for construction project tenders.
  • Commercial assessment of tenders and alignment of bills of quantities.
  • Participate in tender clarification meetings.
  • Maintain updated databases of material prices, subcontractor rates, and cost benchmarks.
  • Establish strategic network of contractors and service providers.

Cost Analysis

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Establish project budgets and prepare monthly expenditure forecasts.
  • Estimation and Bidding: Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment; evaluate subcontractor
  • bids to establish a robust country specific cost database.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed weekly/monthly financial reports (e.g., using Power BI or ERP systems), and
  • maintain an updated cost database
  • Optimization: Recommend cost-saving measures to enhance project profitability and efficiency.

 

Qualifications And Competencies

B.Sc. QS (Hons) - or Civil Engineering (or relevant technical or commercial qualification)

Comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Contracts suites, NEC, GCC and FIDIC
  • EPC Contractors scope
  • EPC Contractors Schedule and the activities and deliverables
  • 8+ years Construction Contract Administration experience with the FIDIC suite of contracts in companies with strong
  • procurement and Supply Chain Management practices/Cost estimation
  • Demonstrate familiarity with contract terms and conditions and the FIDIC suit of contracts
  • Proven track record in affecting contract savings

Ideal:

  • Experience from the PV/Wind/BESS sectors
