Finance & Asset Management Backoffice Specialist

Bucharest

At Scatec, you get to work on something that matters. We develop, build, own, and operate renewable energy solutions that accelerate access to reliable and affordable clean energy. As part of a global and agile organisation, you will work with skilled colleagues across functions and geographies, take real ownership, and contribute to a company driven by the vision of improving our future.

At the heart of everything we do is our belief that we bring the energy - the energy for change, connection, and growth. It shapes how we collaborate, innovate, and create impact together.

If you are looking for a role where your contribution is visible, your development matters, and your work supports a more sustainable future, Scatec may be the right place for you.

Why this role matters:

We're looking for a Finance & Asset Management Backoffice Specialist to join our team in Bucharest and play a key role in supporting power market settlements, regulatory compliance, commercial administration, and financial processes across our renewable energy portfolio.

In this role, you'll work closely with Finance, Asset Management, Energy Portfolio Management, Legal, Accounting, and Operations teams, ensuring smooth back-office processes while supporting market participation and compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will take responsibility of analytical and reporting activities across the asset portfolio, including:

  • Interface with BRPs/markets for settlement data (not trading, dispatch, or optimization)]
  • Validate imbalance values and settlement information
  • Coordinate invoicing methods, reconciliation, and payment tracking with BRP commercial teams
  • Maintain operational market participation agreements and documentation
  • Support registrations and maintain market participation records with Transelectrica and other authorities
  • Interface with grid operators and market operators for compliance, reporting, and data submission purposes
  • Maintain the Trade Database and validate settlement data against EPM-provided trades prior to invoicing, ensuring completeness, consistency, and full audit trail
  • Act as independent back-office control for settlement and invoicing, including reconciliation between contracts, trades, market data, and accounting systems
  • Maintain executed contracts and commercial documentation, extracting settlement-relevant parameters for invoicing and accounting
  • Transmit invoices and settlement documents to accounting teams
  • Maintain financial summaries and reconciliation reports
  • Monitor customer payment obligations and payment terms
  • Support fiscal and accounting administration activities
  • Coordinate with Finance, Asset Management, EPM, Legal, Accounting, and Operations teams
  • Support alignment between market operations, finance, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Your work will support real decisions, real assets, and real operational outcomes.

What you’ll gain:

  • Professional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one
  • Hands-on experience in a role where the challenge is energising, fast-moving, meaningful, and built on learning through doing.
  • Broader commercial understanding through close collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Stronger financial, performance, and decision-support skills in a real-world context

What you’ll bring:

  • 3 years of experience in Renewable Energy or a related area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a similar discipline
  • Ability to turn data into clear business insight and communicate it effectively
  • A structured, proactive approach and confidence working across functions
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
