Why this role matters

The Digital Portfolio Manager role is accountable for establishing, directing and continuously developing the Business Transformation & Digital Portfolio team within Digital Transformation & IT Operation, including ownership of the Digital Portfolio Management Office governance and operating model.

The function serves as Scatec’s enterprise portfolio governance, decision-support and control function for digital and AI-enabled transformation initiatives, providing consolidated insight into portfolio performance, investment, risk, dependencies, capacity and value realisation to executive governance forums.

The role is accountable for portfolio governance, prioritisation, financial oversight, resource allocation and value realisation across Scatec’s digital transformation programmes. It ensures alignment between company strategy, business priorities, available delivery capacity and approved financial mandates across business units.

The role translates Scatec’s Digital strategy into executable programmes and prioritised initiatives, exercising delegated authority to facilitate portfolio trade-offs and balance investment, resources, execution risk, financial discipline and delivery performance. It also serves as a strategic portfolio advisor to the CDIO and executive stakeholders while developing the BT&DP team and strengthening enterprise delivery capability.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and continuously develop the Digital Portfolio as a defined sub-function within Digital & IT, with accountability for its strategy, operating model, governance, performance and delivery capability.
  • Define and own portfolio standards for intake, prioritisation, decision gates, delivery methodology, reporting and performance measurement, ensuring alignment with Scatec’s strategic, financial and operational priorities.
  • Translate Digital and Technology Enablement strategies into structured programmes and prioritised initiatives, with delegated authority to sequence work, allocate capacity and make portfolio trade-off decisions within approved financial and governance mandates.
  • Lead executive portfolio reviews, including SteerCo and CEO-facing forums, and drive decisions on portfolio priorities, investment, delivery risk, dependencies and capacity constraints.
  • Hold accountability for portfolio budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, spend control and vendor oversight, partnering with Finance to ensure reporting accuracy, cost discipline, governance compliance and value alignment.
  • Own resource and capacity planning across the DPMO, business units and external partners, including recruitment, performance management, project leadership allocation, coaching and structured capability development.
  • Provide executive oversight of the full initiative lifecycle from intake through delivery, adoption and value realisation, intervening in complex or at-risk initiatives and directing corrective action where required.
  • Govern business case quality, benefit tracking and value realisation, while serving as a strategic portfolio advisor to the CDIO and executive stakeholders and representing Digital & IT in cross-functional governance and decision-making forums.

What you'll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business, Digital Transformation, Information Systems or equivalent 
  • Relevant Certifications in Program Management or Governance certifications preferred, such as Business Systems Analysis, PMP, Prince2, AgilePM, or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in digital delivery, programme governance or transformation leadership
  • Proven experience with portfolio-level governance and budget accountability
  • Cross-functional leadership across business and technology domains
  • 5+ years' experience in renewable energy sector
  • Commercial and financial accumen
