Why this role matters

The position plays a key role in safeguarding the Group’s financial reporting and internal control over financial reporting in the group, and will be part of Scatec’s global Group reporting and accounting function. The role will play a central part in shaping and developing Scatec’s global reporting and accounting function through process improvements, digitalisation initiatives and ensuring the organisation is well positioned to support future growth and increasing business complexity.

 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the Group’s external and internal financial reporting process, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Perform consolidation activities for IFRS reporting for a portfolio of entities in the Group, including review and analysis of financial information.
  • Perform technical IFRS assessment and prepare accounting papers in collaboration with Finance and Asset Management teams
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Group accounting policies, including IFRS compliance and implementation of new accounting standards. Support Finance and Asset Management teams and ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies across the Group.
  • Initiate, lead and drive implementation of new digital initiatives and solutions for reporting across the group.
  • Identify, initiate and lead digital and process improvement initiatives within Group Accounting, with a focus on automation, efficiency and scalability
  • Coordinate with Group and local auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit matters.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR)

What you’ll bring

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience, preferably from audit and/or group reporting in an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience from Big Four audit firms is preferred
  • Language: fluent both written and spoken in English
  • IT knowledge – familiar with Sharepoint and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with consolidation and group reporting is an advantage as well as analytical tools
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions and geographies
