At Scatec, you get to work on something that matters. We develop, build, own, and operate renewable energy solutions that accelerate access to reliable and affordable clean energy. As part of a global and agile organisation, you will work with skilled colleagues across functions and geographies, take real ownership, and contribute to a company driven by the vision of improving our future. At the heart of everything we do is our belief that we bring the energy — the energy for change, connection, and growth. It shapes how we collaborate, innovate, and create impact together. If you are looking for a role where your contribution is visible, your development matters, and your work supports a more sustainable future, Scatec may be the right place for you.

Why this role matters

As Project HSSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation, coordination, and monitoring of Scatec’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements across our project portfolio. You will support the development of a strong HSSE culture, drive compliance with corporate standards and local regulations, and contribute to the safe and successful delivery of renewable energy projects.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of HSSE requirements across assigned projects.
  • Support Project HSSE Managers and site teams with HSSE plans, inspections, corrective actions, and action follow-up.
  • Monitor HSSE performance and contribute to continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
  • Support portfolio-level HSSE governance, reporting, assurance activities, and follow-up of agreed actions.
  • Conduct HSSE audits, inspections, and reviews to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive HSSE communication programmes and promote global HSSE initiatives across project teams.
  • Support project start-up activities by embedding HSSE requirements into project planning and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to project HSSE personnel and support global HSSE data reporting.

Your work will help strengthen safety performance, support project delivery, and ensure HSSE standards are embedded consistently across Scatec’s renewable energy projects.

What you’ll gain

  • Professional growth through ownership, exposure, and meaningful contribution from day one.
  • Hands-on experience in a fast-moving, meaningful role built on learning through doing.
  • Extensive exposure to large-scale renewable energy construction projects across Egypt.
  • The opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and help build a strong safety culture across a diverse project portfolio.

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a similar field.
  • 7–10 years of relevant HSSE experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience with HSSE audits, inspections, governance, reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certifications are highly preferred; NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Additional role-specific requirement: This position requires frequent travel and extended presence at construction sites across Egypt, with expected site presence of approximately three out of every four weeks.
