Why this role matters

As an Accountant, you will deliver accurate and timely accounting, reporting and payment processes for Scatec’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) operating companies.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant: O&M and EPC OpCos, you will prepare reliable financial information, maintain financial controls and support audit, tax and statutory requirements. Working closely with operational, project and commercial teams, you will help ensure that financial records accurately reflect entity and project performance.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will take responsibility for accounting activities across your assigned operating companies, including:

• Complete month-end accounting, post supported journals and prepare accurate trial balances within Group reporting deadlines.
• Prepare bank, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, resolve reconciling items and maintain fixed asset, lease and debt registers.
• Prepare management accounts, Group reporting packs and cash flow information, with clear explanations of budget variances.
• Account for O&M revenue, costs and recharges, review EPC percentage-of-completion schedules and process related journals.
• Validate transactions and project allocations with operational teams, monitor cost recoveries and margins, and escalate unusual items.
• Review supplier documentation, coordinate payment runs and prepare short-term cash flow forecasts in line with approved controls.
• Prepare tax workings and statutory reporting schedules, maintain compliance calendars and support relevant submissions.
• Prepare audit files and annual financial statement schedules, respond to audit queries and contribute to improvements in financial controls and processes.

Your work will support reliable reporting, timely payments and clear visibility of financial performance across the O&M and EPC portfolio.

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Three to five years’ relevant financial accounting, reporting or audit experience, preferably across multiple legal entities.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS, month-end accounting, reconciliations, management reporting and annual financial statements.
• Experience with payments, cash flow forecasting, audit documentation and tax compliance support, with knowledge of VAT, corporate income tax and financial controls.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP and Group reporting systems; experience with Dynamics 365, Cognos, Power BI or Caseware would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and clear communication in English, with the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate across teams.

Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, engineering, construction or another project-based environment would be advantageous, particularly exposure to O&M arrangements, EPC contract accounting and IFRS 15.

Additional hours may be required around reporting, payment, budgeting and audit deadlines. Occasional travel may also be required.
